At 10hr30 we will head straight to the Benitier view, Chamarel 7 colour sand, Alexandra falls, Grand bassin sacred lake and Trou aux cerfs volcano.

Benitier Island View point.

Benitier Island is one of best kept secrets of the south coast . With the pace characteristic of a font , elongated shell, this little piece of earth hemmed splendid beaches that sink in translucent waters. Largely preserved , the island does not allow water sports , but it offers however idyllic conditions to relax in Robinson. On the Mauritian coast, from the village of Tamarin , fishermen will be happy to make sure the crossing to the island. From that point you will be able to see extraordinary view of the whole island.

Chamarel 7 colour Earth.

Next to the National Park between Black River and the tip of Le Morne, Chamarel is one of the main natural attractions of Mauritius . Located in a private domain (entry fees apply) , the land of 7 colors of Chamarel is a clearing which has 7 variations of colors, ranging from ocher, brown, red and purple . This phenomenon is due to the presence of volcanic ash mineral containing oxides of different colors exposed by erosion for centuries. The peculiarity of this land, is that once mixed , the colors always end not separate. But we can not take land or walk over to preserve this unique place in the world.

Alexandra Falls Viewpoint

Alexandra Falls Viewpoint is on the road through the Gorges National Park Black River. By their finesse and lush environment, these falls are an undeniable attraction of Mauritius. You have a vantage place to admire the waterfall and Alexandra Falls waterfalls hundreds of meters in the heart of lush vegetation and tropical plants and take some memorable nice pictures.

Trou Aux Cerfs

A Curepipe, Avenue George V , any winding leads to the crater of an ancient volcano, Trou Aux Cerfs is located 605 m above sea level. The crater is filled by a small lake and features lush vegetation consisting of tall pines and other species of tropical plants .

Grand Bassin – Sacred Place

Access to Great Basin may seem disproportionate in this wooded and sparsely populated center of Mauritius. You should know that Grand Bassin is a sacred place , like the Ganges in India. The annual pilgrimages bring a very large population , up to 500 000 people during the great night of Shiva , part journey on foot for 3 days and 3 nights to get to Grand Bassin . Huge car parks have been built to enable pilgrims to come by car and continue on foot.
